Matthew Scerri, Ph.D., studied Italian Language at the University of Malta where he was conferred his Ph.D. in 2011. The title of the doctoral thesis is: L’elemento favolistico-fiabesco nella narrativa giovanile scritta da Italo Calvino. He teaches Italian in an independent Secondary School in Malta and is a Visiting Lecturer at the Dipartment of Italian within the Faculty of Arts at the University of Malta. In 2012 he published his first book: Il-Ħajja u l-Avventuri ta’ Santa Klaws, a translation from English to Maltese of the Frank L. Baum’s book The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus.
